Q: What's the best way to learn French?

A: This is one of the easiest questions to answer.  The best way is to move to France or some other French-speaking country and immerse yourself in the language and culture for an extended period of time.  Native speakers are the best teachers, there is no better way to practice, and being immersed in the culture means you'll have plenty of repetition, using the language means you'll learn faster.

The second best way is to purchase language software because it's cost effective, fun and interactive.  Books and audio CD's or DVD's are passive, they don't correct you if you make mistakes.

Private instructors are a great way to learn but unfortunately they're very expensive.
